2/50–香菇青菜包子

Almost every morning for the past 9 months I’ve made a morning pilgrimage to the East or West gate of our campus and made an offering to the Bao Zi Gods. The East Gate Bao Zi Lady was my first Bao Zi Love, and will be featured in a photo on another day soon, but recently I’ve defaulted to the West Gate Bao Zi lady… My heart is torn, but my stomach is always full.

Bao zi are delicious bits of food wrapped inside a ball of steamed dough. In the case of the vegan, the bao zi selected usually include cabbage or lettuce along with mushrooms, although sometimes the veg varies. I will TRULY miss bao zi.
