28/50 – Chinese Beer

Chinese beers are… not very good. I would compare almost all of them to Bud Light or Coors Light in taste, but about half as strong. Your average beer here is between 2.7% and 3.3% The beer from the cans is better than the beer from the bottle, as almost all Chinese beers from bottles taste awfully skunky. The positive side to all this is that the beer is really cheap… 9 of those big bottles costs us about 20 RMB (about $3). 24 cans cost us about 40 RMB. I can’t wait to get some good craft beer!
